I am doing well, my clean date is March 28, 2009, coming up on a year. I am still in Nevada City, enjoy it here, but am really impatient as far as getting on with a new life. For now I am having to accept that this is time for me to just be; in the meantime doing yoga and volunteer work. I have a great AA group here, the quality of our searching and honest sharing is quite inspiring, sometimes I just know the doors to heaven are going to open and we will all be carted off to Eden. Cheers brother.

I just returned from the VIII Dominican Republic NA Convention this weekend, It was a marvelous experience for me where I got really strong messages. I have developed an Excellent support network which consists of two different groups of friends in recovery with whom I speak everyday about myself and they called me everyday to see how am I doing. I receive compliments from many fellow addicts , my family and Desiree about my recovery process, which wouldn’t be possible without the staff of the house. I really have a good understanding about my disease and how to manage it (Attitudes – Thoughts – Feelings – Behaviors (Its all about perception)).
Please feel free to refer any Dominicans to me when they leave the center. I can help them get connected.

LIFE IS GOOD!!! I am busy working every day….Diabetic.and Respiratory equipment and supplies!! Love it!! I have moved into a residential recovery place….huge apartment complex….pool, hot tub, etc….I will probably stay here for six months or so, then get my own place…I really need the structure and the sober supports….I also go to therapy three nights a week from 6 to 9 pm….so I don’t have a lot of free time…but I don’t seem to handle free time very well!! At least I didn’t…that is changing now. I miss everyone, I think of you all often, with a smile!!!

Remember that wonderful Christmas I showed up on your door step (airport) It has already been 6 months. Can you believe it! Well it was a great feeling waking up today.
