Costa Rica Recovery is licensed by the Ministerio de Salud (Ministry of Health) and certified as a treatment center for alcoholism and drug addiction by the Instituto Sobre Alcoholismo y Farmacodependencia (Institute for Alcoholism and Drug Dependence), agencies of the government of Costa Rica.
Costa Rica is a member of the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (IC & RC), ensuring that requirements for counselor certification are similar to those of Boards in other jurisdictions, including the United States.
